Whimsical Storyteller.
My name is Amanda “luxy” Moore-Karim, I’m a business professional with a focus on fashion and beauty. I’ve lived in New York City for almost nine years and have worked with some of the most well-acclaimed businesses in both industries. For Fashion Styling, I’ve worked with highly acclaimed clients for eCommerce and branded content including Target, Cash x Cash App, OUTNET, Amazon and Avon.
As for my independent pursuits, I have an art business called luxy’s haus. “luxy” is my artist name and my company’s name comes from the idea of an invitation to my target audience into my home for story time. As my audience enters my home, they will discover insightful messages intended to promote the healing of historical trauma stored in the bodies of marginalized communities. These messages are told through the mediums of fashion photography and creative writing. As they leave my home, they are presented with offerings for purchase which include art books encompassing these messages along with herbal healing fragrances corresponding to these messages.
Over the span of seven years, my work has been featured in Lucy's Magazine, Elements Magazine, Schön! Magazine.com, Essence.com, Afropunk, Panasonic Australia, Blavity CRWN Magazine.com and Ebony Magazine's social media.
